HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER?
40 weeks initially, paused during second half of pregnancy, restarted 6 weeks after having baby and now one year on.
REASONS FOR JOINING?
When I moved house to a village my easy access to classes and gyms shrank considerably. I was also working full time, sometimes long hours and with a young child at home I needed something better to fit my lifestyle. A friend introduced me to LRG and it is perfect. I had to stop in my second pregnancy due to back problems and had no hesitation in re-joining once I was through 6 weeks post-delivery.
RESERVATIONS ABOUT JOINING?
I have generally been a person who likes to exercise but have to push myself to go to the gym or classes. Once in a class I’ll really go for it but have found it hard to motivate myself at home with DVDs. The beauty of LRG is it’s a different workout each week so keeps it interesting and challenging.
RESULTS / BENEFITS?
Energy…..so much more energy. Even if I feel too tired to work out once I start my energy levels increase so much. I became the fittest I’d been since childhood when doing the sessions 3 times a week and getting back there again now. My shape is definitely improving too, I have baby weight to lose so I’m working on my diet too but it’s toning up and building lean muscle I want the most.
ANYTHING ELSE?
LRG works for everyone. The choice of high or low impact moves for each video is great as it means you can complete a full workout no matter your fitness levels, or if an injury may limit you. When I recommenced after having the baby Nina set me a personalised 4-week plan and sent me separate videos to build up slowly and safely. Her support has been invaluable and given me confidence I am doing it right. It means I’m getting back to where I was quicker than if I’d just restarted myself again. It’s an addiction, a good one!
