From the very beginning.
REASONS FOR JOINING?
I was looking for something to complement my usual training which consisted of: running, cycling, weights and boxing, which was becoming a little tedious. I wanted to try something that was different, but also convenient as I have a busy work life as a PE teacher, with a young family.
RESERVATIONS ABOUT JOINING?
I was a bit concerned about how motivated I would be by the program and the exercises due to simply watching a TV screen. However, in the privacy of my own home/garden, I found the opposite to be true. With Ben and Nina’s constant direction and guidance throughout each routine, I felt that I was encouraged and pushed to perform to my best level on most occasions. Plus unlike a gym, I have no distractions of talking to people or having to wait for different equipment or machines to be free.
RESULTS / BENEFITS?
After a relatively short period of time, I have found that my enthusiasm for daily exercise has really improved and the convenience of the LRG program has meant that I very rarely miss a workout. My fitness has improved as the routines are always varied (unlike my usual runs and spinning classes) and as a result, I have become stronger and definitely more toned. The experience so far has given me a much more positive outlook on exercise and healthy living for which I am very grateful for.
As I am following LRG at home, my children also watch me working out which they were not able to do when I was at the gym, so as a result they have also become more motivated to exercise. The routines have two main levels and can be adapted for any ability which I find particularly appealing. This has enabled me to use many of the exercises I have learnt through LRG with the pupils I teach in my primary school, so LRG has improved my individual fitness and my own professional development.
